FIBERGLASS
DUCTING consists of 1 to 2 inches of fiberglass compressed insulation,
the exterior is wrapped in foil paper, the inner layer is a thin
spray-on plastic which has a knobby texture. This knobby plastic can
allow dust to collect and create an environment for molds, viruses,
and bacteria to breed and grow. It is susceptible to water damage and
rodent damage. The life span of fiberglass ducting is 5 to 10 years
maximum. We
will be happy to talk to you about replacing it.
